Scott was introduced to music at an early age when he attended Grant School
in Los Altos California and joined their choir. This early vocal harmony training was fascinating to him!
By the late 1960's, after hearing the instrumental version of "25 or 6 to 4 " performed by Chicago on his sisters phonograph, he knew he'd have to learn the drums and did. He also tried to learn the guitar but didn't have the patience and stuck to the drums.
He excelled in singing in grade and Jr. High school and in choir classes in High School,
Scott began performing in the Homestead High Schools Barbershop Quartet at 14 in
Cupertino California. By the time he was 17 in 1976, he was performing regularly at Marriotts Great America in Santa Clara California with the Barbershop Quartet with buddies Doumer Liu, Chris Hebert and Bob Hodges who made up the Singing Fireman and the Four Flavors quartet, The quartet sang The National Anthem at venues such as The San Francisco 49er's and San Francisco Giants Home Games and The San Jose Earthquakes soccer games in the Bay Area in the late 70's. Scott and the Barbershop Quartet were a sensation around the Bay Area representing Great America on TV specials, commercials, comic books and special singing events.
Since then, He has found a love in Karaoke music and when Karaoke hit the scene in the US in 1988, Scott was there up on stage singing every song he could belt out!
